Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has once again made a significant mark in maritime history with an outstanding achievement at its Adani International Container Terminal (AICTPL) in Mundra. On January 21, 2024, the container vessel MV MSC Livorno accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully exchanging 16,569 TEUs at the port before commencing its journey. This achievement surpasses the national record of 16,400 TEUs, previously set by AICTPL at Adani Mundra Port on July 22, 2022, when the MSC Danit achieved a similar milestone.
Measuring an impressive 366 meters in length and boasting a carrying capacity of 14,000 TEUs, the MV MSC Livorno arrived at Adani Mundra Port from Colombo. This accomplishment not only sets a new high in container handling but also underscores the efficiency and capabilities of AICTPL. Following this record-breaking operation, the vessel set sail for Yantian, China, highlighting the global connectivity and strategic importance of Adani Mundra Port as a key hub in international maritime trade.
This achievement reinforces the status of APSEZ Mundra as a premier port facility in India. It also underscores the dedication and proficiency of the AICTPL team in managing complex logistics operations. As APSEZ continues to play a significant role in India’s trade and economic growth, milestones like these further solidify its position as a leader in the maritime and logistics industry, as emphasized in a press release.
